Elizabeth and her brother Andrew were taken as children to the Henshaw home in Leicester, Massachusetts to be educated. Their parents returned to Alabama. Elizabeth became an accomplished artist.3
She married Rufus Campbell Torrey2,3 [Judge Rufus Campbell Torrey4], Jun 24 18462,3. Rufus was born about 1813, Mississippi.5 Elizabeth and Rufus were distant cousins as they were both descended from John Alden.3

Elizabeth Sargent Henshaw died Dec 18 1856, Monroe County, Alabama.7 Elizabeth Henshaw died of hemorrhage at the birth of her son Andrew Henshaw Torrey, who reportedly weighed 18 pounds (!!).3
