Gayl Marie Hinshaw

Gayl graduated from Enumclaw (King County, Washington) High School in 1963. She received her B.A. in Elementary Education from Western Washington State College in 1967. She taught elementary school for 22 years, then after receiving her Masters Degree, has been an elementary principal for the past 8 years.²

Gayl began her teaching career in Shoreline School District in Seattle from 1967 - 1971. She taught in Lake Washington School District from 1971 - 1975, then moved to Jonesboro, Georgia in 1975 and taught in Clayton County from 1975 - 1977. She moved back to Washington in 1977 and taught for Enumclaw School District from 1978 - 1991. She received her Masters Degree in Administration from Western Washington University and became an elementary principal working in Tahoma School District (1991-1993) and Enumclaw School District (1993 - present[1999]). She currently (1999) is principal of Sunrise Elementary School, a Kindergarten - Third Grade primary school.²

Gayl has lived in Enumclaw, Washington most of her life. She is currently (1999) living in Auburn, Washington on Neuwaukem Creek.²
