Benjamin Franklin Hinshaw was a tall lanky man with intense blue eyes (what the family calls "Hinshaw blues").    He was constable at Dripping Springs and Dickson, Carter County, Oklahoma for awhile.    He walked bent to one side due to carrying a gun and he ate his peas with a knife.    Ben acted as interpreter for the Chickasaws and Choctaws in Carter County, owned a store, farmed, and worked on Lake Murray, south of Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma.    He spent his Sunday afternoons pitching ball for whoever got to him first.b
