Note: Adam's brother Samuel was reportedly born Oct 5 1848 - one or the other of these birth dates must be wrong, unless they were twins.  

He married Rachel Lurinda Huddle1 [Lucinda Huddle3].  Rachel was born about 1850, Rich Valley, Smyth County, Virginia.1  

Adam Jefferson Hanshew died Sep 15 1934, buried Kimberling Church Cemetery, north of Rural Retreat, Wythe County, Virginia.5,7
