Myrtle Henshaw Myrtle (Rambo) Henshaw, 67, died peacefully on Feb. 14, 2004 in Portland.
Myrtle was born Aug. 3, 1936 in Melrose, New Mexico, daughter of Tomie A. and Blanche Rambo (who preceded her in death in 1981 and 1948). She moved to Butte Falls, in 1945 and attended Butte Falls schools, graduating from Butte Falls High School in 1955.
In 1958 [sic], she married Gene Henshaw and they had three children together. She moved to Portland in 1960 and raised her family.
Myrtle was a member of the Fuschia and Orchid Gardening Society. She enjoyed gardening, camping, sewing, crafts and above all, her family was very important to her.
Myrtle is survived and loved by her family: two daughters, Debbie Henshaw and Sharon Harness, both of Portland; one son, Greg Henshaw of Salem; brothers, Tony Rambo, Fred Rambo, Cody Rambo, Arthur Rambo, and Ira Rambo, all of the Rogue Valley; sister, Josie Evans of Florence; two grandchildren, Adam and Jamie Harness of Portland; one great-grandchild, Ivy Harness of Portland; and many nieces and nephews.
Services are being held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 21 at Butte Falls Community Church, Butte Falls. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be a graveside service open to all at Butte Falls Cemetery. Immediately following, a reception will be held at Butte Falls Community Church in Celebration of Myrtle's life.
Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
