In 2003 Jean was living in/near Las Cruces, Dona Ana County, New Mexico.4

Jean Plants

Jean Plants 78, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 6,2003.  Jean was born in West Finley, PA on September 12, 1925.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Harold W. Plants.  Her daughter Donna Dunn-Pantoja, El Paso, TX, Grandson & Granddaughter-in-law, Jeffrey & Pamela Dunn, two Great Grand Children, Nicholas & Brittney Dunn all of Parker, CO.  Granddaughter, Judith A. Dunn of EI Paso, TX.  Numerous family members on the East Coast also survive her.  Jean will be greatly missed by numerous friends and family.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter & Clara Bell Hancher, and her seven brothers and sisters.  

A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Tuesday December 9, 2003 at Getz Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery on December 10, 2003 at 10:00 AM.  

Pallbearers will be Jeff Dunn, Shelton Eubanks, Joe Juarez, Bobby Moore, Chuy Paz and Jim Tracy.

Harold died Apr 18 2010, Las Cruces, Dona Ana County, New Mexico; age 86.7  

Harold's obituary was published as follows:7

Harold W. Plants, 86, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, April 18, 2010.  He was born May 27, 1923 in Claysville, PA. to Harold and Nelle Calvert Plants.  

Harold was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp where he served his country honorably during WW II.  He retired after many years of faithful service as Equipment Manager for the State of New Mexico.  He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt and fish, was a member of the Eagles Club and had a great joy of working crossword puzzles.  

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  Mr. Plants is survived by his daughter Donna Dunn of El Paso, TX; brother Howard Plants of Claysville, PA; sister Ila Mae Shaler of West Alexander, PA; grandson Jeffrey A. Dunn and wife Pamela of Bedford, New Hampshire and by his two great-grandchildren Nicholas I. Dunn and Brittney N. Dunn.  Howard is also survived by his numerous extended family all residing on the east coast.  

He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Plants; granddaughter Judith A. Dunn; his parents and son-in-law Irwin E. Dunn.  

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home.  A Graveside Service to celebrate his life is at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 23, 2010 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Benuska officiating.  The US Army will provide military honors.
