Jimmie Hinshaw
SPRINGFIELD - The funeral will be held Aug. 22 for Jimmie "Jim" Hinshaw of Springfield, who died Aug. 17 from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was 60.
Hinshaw was born Jan. 7, 1942, in Dallas, Ore., to Mackalyn and Norma Fisher Hinshaw.
He moved to this area in 1943 and served in the Air Force from 1964 until 1968. Hinshaw worked as a long-haul truck driver and he enjoyed fishing and exploring.
Survivors include his mother of Springfield; a daughter, Jessica Hinshaw of Alaska; two sisters, Cathy Hinshaw of Hawaii and Sharon Smith of Springfield; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. Thursday's service will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
