Bill Myers NEWTON - Bill M. Myers, 65, of Newton, died Aug. 13, 2000, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Jerry Conner will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Newton.
Friends may call at Petersen Funeral Home from 5 to 9 tonight, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorials have been established with the Kansas Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Association and the Kansas Elks Training Center for the Handicapped.
Myers was born Oct. 1, 1934, in Independence to Alma G. (Moore) and V. Dale Myers.
On April 14, 1954, he married Carol Henshaw in Winfield.
Myers was a sales manager for Wonder Bread and Hiland Dairy, both of Wichita.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, the Elks Lodge and the Sons of American Legion and a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Myers, Newton; two sons, Rick Myers, Newton, and Bill A. Myers, Hutchinson; a daughter, Teresa Bachman, Newton; a brother, Jack Myers, Wichita; a sister, Janice Housman, Hartington, Neb.; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1936, in Winfield, the daughter of Richard and Cora Hall Henshaw. She worked as a real estate broker for 23 years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Newton.
On April 14, 1954, she married Bill Myers in Winfield. He died Aug. 13, 2000.
Survivors include: two sons, Rick, Newton, and Bill, Hutchinson; a daughter, Teresa Bachman, Newton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church, Newton, with Rev. Gary Bell presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Peterson Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
Memorials may be sent to Multiple Sclerosis Society or Newton Fire and EMS, in care of the funeral home.
