She married Robert Sterling Simpson, 1841.^1,2 Robert was born Mar 5 1822^2,3,5,8,9, Virginia^2,3,5,8,9 [North Carolina⁴].

Robert purchased a tract of land in Jackson County, Alabama. Later George Washington Henshaw purchased land adjacent to Robert's tract.² Therefore it is possible that George and Rebecca were closely related (perhaps siblings).

Rebecca was shown in the 1900 census (Sep 11 1900), living in the household of daughter Josephine (Simpson) Smith in Burleson County, Texas:⁶

Rebecca Jane Henshaw died Feb 21 1905, Caldwell, Burleson County, Texas; age 81y 3m.^2,7,12

This could be Rebecca, dau of James, born ?-?-1823, Tennessee. Her brother Carrel married in 1850 - his spouse was born in Alabama. Perhaps this Hinshaw group lived for some time in Alabama & Rebecca married there.
