On Sep 12 1918 Clarence Edgar Hinshaw, age 33, registered for the World War I draft in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana.  He declared he was born Nov 15 1884, and was then residing at 551 E. Taylor, Kokomo, Indiana where he was a high school principal employed by the City School Board.  He declared his nearest relative was his wife, Denzle C. Henshaw of the same address.  He was recorded as medium height, medium build, brown eyes, dark brown hair.9
