George immigrated to the U.S., arriving in New York (Ellis Island) on Jul 25 1914 on the ship S.S. Baltic, having departed Liverpool, England on Jul 16 1914.1,3 His immigration record listed his age as 20, occupation as 'labourer'. His residence was listed as Bedford and his final destination was with brother William Henshaw of 1110 Mill St., Wilkensburg, Pennsylvania (his brother paid for his passage). He was recorded as 5' 4.5" tall, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes. (He was also recorded as not a criminal, insane, a polygamist or anarchist).3
George was a World War I veteran.7
George and Rhoda were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 2 1920), living in the household of brother William at 1609 Coal Street, Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania [census page very difficult to read]:6

In 1949 George was living in Albany, New York.8
George Mercer Henshaw died Feb 25 1965, Ocala, Marion County, Florida; age 70.1,2,5,7 The informant for George's death certificate was wife Rhoda B. Henshaw.7
Rhoda died Aug 4 1981, Marion County, Florida.2,5
