George died Mar 4 1897^2,6,13 [Mar 5 1897¹⁰]; buried Fairview Cemetery, Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa^2,6,13. Medical: George died from an attack of "congestion of the stomach" (apendicitis??).¹⁰

Immediately after George died in 1897, Lillie Maude moved back home to Henry County, Indiana.¹¹
