Robert F. Krenn, 59, of Burlington passed away suddenly on March 3, 2008 at the Bristol Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Dutra) Krenn. Born in New Britain, October 30, 1948, he was a son of the late Frank and Frances (Bassen) Krenn. Robert was employed by the UCONN Health Center for 25 years, where he worked as a police officer before his retirement in 1997. After his retirement, Robert worked security for the Southington High School. Robert was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Era and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #511.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Krenn and her fiancee Jason Koelman of Bristol. He also leaves brothers, Richard J. Krenn of Florida and Donald B. and his wife Ester Krenn of California and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Unionville. The family invites friends to gather at the church one hour prior to Mass to pay their respects and extend their condolences. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church, 16 Bidwell Sq., Unionville, CT. 06085. The Farrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
