What magazines do I read?

House and Garden
Interior decoration has always been a fascination for me. I need a penthouse in New York, a beach house, and a big country house to fulfill my decorating fantasies.

Wired
Just because. However, I do think it used to be bettter. My favorite section is Fetish with the neato upcoming gadgets.

September issue of Vogue
This is the phone book sized fall fashion issue. March, spring fashions, is getting big also and I bought that once.

When I'm feeling like some fashion fluff I pick up InStyle. In college my roommate and I read Cosmo religiously. Fluff is good. I like wedding magazines but I don't buy them too often because ultimately they're not very good for my psyche.

For a woman's fitness magazine, Shape seems to be pretty decent. I've found some great recipes in there too.

I'm also subscribed to the Wellesley magazine since I went there and American Scientist since I'm a member of Sigma Xi.

What's scary is that in putting together the links for this page, I discovered that many of the magazines I read are owned by one big conglomerate: Conde Nast. Here's a page of all their magazines. This made me feel like the time I read about how most of the shoe brands (Nine West, Calvin Klein, Evan Picone) are actually all part of one big shoe company. One day I'll just throw all my money in a big pot and hand it over to just one guy. Hopefully he won't be Bill Gates.

I miss the old Sassy.
