She pronounced her first name as the English "Mary" although she spelled it as "Marie".  

Born Nov 27 1874, Polen, Drslavic No. 3., Pilsen, Czechoslovakia.1,3,4,5  

Godparents: Jan Vachl, a farmer from Luh, and his wife Marie.2  

Marie emigrated to the U.S., unaccompanied, at the approximate age of 15.  She became a naturalized U.S. Citizen.4  

She married Philip Charles Forster, Jun 14 1899, Holy Angels Church, Chicago, Illinois.3,6  Philip Charles Forster was born Apr 28 1868, Wheeling, West Virginia.6,7  

The family bible includes a marriage certificate reading:

"This Certifies that P. C. Foster [sic] of Chicago and Marie Witt of Chicago were united by me in the Bond of Holy Matrimony According to the rite of the Holy Roman Catholic Church at Holy Angels Church on the 14th day of June in the year of our Lord 1899".
Signed by "Rev. Thies".3  

Philip Charles Forster died Apr 15 1947, St. George Hospital, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois; 8:30 P.M.8,9  

Maria Wit died Apr 17 1963, Colonial Nursing Home, South Holland, Cook County, Illinois; 5:30 A.M., age 88.3,4  

Medical: In the later few years of her life she became extremely removed from reality due to senility / Alzheimer's.  Death due to "Bronchial pneumonia" (2 days) and ("other conditions") "arteriosclerosis (generalized)". No autopsy was performed.4
