Born about 1834, New York.1,3,4  

He married Wilhelmina Maxson1 [Willamina Maxson2, Sarah Wilhelmina Maxson3, Sarah Wilamina Maxson5].  Wilhelmina, daughter of Jonathan Maxson & Christian Davis, was born Aug 6 1837, Ohio.3,5  (c1839).1  

Andrew might have been a Civil War Veteran.6  There was an A. Hinshaw who served as a private in Company L, 4th Wisconsin Cavalry and who was residing in/near Hendley, Nebraska in 1895.7  There was also a Jackson Henshaw who served as a private in Company H, 18th Wisconsin Infantry.8

Andrew and family were shown in the 1880 census (Jun 17-18 1880), Adell Precinct, Greeley County, Nebraska:3

Henshaw, Andrew J., age 45, born in New York; parents born in New York; farmer.
Henshaw, Sarah W., wife, age 43, born in Ohio; parents born in Virginia; keeping house.
Henshaw, Mahala V., daughter, age 15, born in Minnesota; father born in New York; mother born in Ohio; attended school.
Henshaw, Alfred D., son, age 12, born in Iowa; father born in New York; mother born in Ohio; attended school.
Henshaw, Oscar A., son, age 4, born in Nebraska; father born in New York; mother born in Ohio.

Andrew Jackson Henshaw had a hardware store 50 miles from Lincoln, Nebraska on the Platte River where he did demonstrations with oxen to display ploughs.2
