Everett was a World War I veteran.^c    On Jun 5 1917 Everett Love Hanshaw, age 20 [unclear] registered for the World War I draft in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.    He declared he was born Oct 23 1896 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and was then residing on Mullberry St., W. Bridgewater, [Beaver County,] Pennsylvania.    He declared his nearest relative was Mrs. [..unclear..] Wagoner of the same address.    He was recorded as having gray eyes, brown hair.^b

He married Helen M. Coleman, about 1921.^c    Helen was born May 15 1901, Maryland.^c,209    Helen apparently had been previously married and had a son, John W. Coleman.^c
