Bessie Hanshew Kincer, 100, of Rural Retreat, Va., passed away Sunday evening, January 6, 2008, in Bristol, Tenn. She was born June 6, 1907, in Wythe County, Va., the daughter of the late William and Canna M. Atwell Hanshew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer G. Kincer; a son, Glen Kincer; four sisters, Ollie Atwell, Kate Rich, Viola Anderson and Elsie Anderson; four brothers, Tom Hanshew, Donald Hanshew and two infant brothers.
