Born 1778.9  

On 11 Mo. 15 1792 at Hopewell Friends MM (Virginia), Ruhamah Hanshaw, Hiram Hanshaw and William Hancher all witnessed and signed the marriage certificate of David Griffeth and Ruth Butterfield.3  Note that this makes Ruhamah's reported birth date of 1778 questionable as she would have been only 14 at this marriage, probably too young to be signing a marriage certificate.  

She married Seth Duncan, Dec 25 1792, Frederick County, Virginia.1,2,4,7,9,10,11  Seth, son of Matthew + Sarah Duncan, was born Jun 29 1771, Virginia.7,10,12,13,14

Ruhamah settled in Kentucky.1,2,4,5  

In 1806 Ruhamah and family were living on the Licking River in Pendleton County, Kentucky.14  In 1808 Ruhamah and family were living in Bourbon County, Kentucky.14  

Ruhamah and family were shown in the 1810 census, Stoner, Bourbon County, Kentucky:15

Seth Duncan household:
1 male under age 10.
1 male age 10-15.
1 male age 26-44 [Seth].
2 females under age 10.
1 female age 26-44 [Ruhamah].
2 slaves.

About 1815 a William Bell of Berkeley County, Virginia and Seth & Ruhanna Duncan of Nelson County, Kentucky signed a power of attorney to recover from the estate of Wm and Ann Henshaw of Berkeley County, Virginia.16
