LIBERTY -- Edith Hinshaw Moore, 88, of Liberty passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011 at The Laurels of Chatham.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, an avid gardener and made beautiful quilts
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 29 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, officiated by Jan Greene. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 until 2 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty.
Edith was the daughter of the late Willie and Lola Andrews Hinshaw and was also preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Moore, Jr. and two brothers, Bernard and Ivan Hinshaw.
Surviving is her daughter, Becky Moore Langley and husband, Tony of Liberty; two sons, David Moore and wife, Frances of Rolesville, NC and Lee Moore and wife, Charlotte of Mt. Plymouth, FL; one sister, Myra Way of Liberty, NC; two brothers, Elbert Hinshaw of Harrisburg, VA and Bob Hinshaw of Cary, NC; 11 grandchildren, Jeff Langley, Josh Langley, Jackie Lowe, Dale Brewer, Alyssa Moore, Sara Moore, Candice Groves, Melissa Wright, Michele Jones, Fred Smith and Brad Smith and 13 great-grandchildren.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Alzheimer's Association , 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
