He married Margaret Cypert, Mar 19 1767, Cane Creek MM, Orange County, North Carolina.1,2,3 Margaret, daughter of Francis Cypert & Charity Townsend, was born Oct 15 1744, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1 (sometimes spelled Scypert).3,4
Jacob Marshill died 4-26-1818, Cane Creek MM, Orange County, North Carolina.1
In his will of 6 Mo. 26 1816, Jacob mentions:
wife Margaret,
son Francis Marshill,
daughter Ruth Hadley,
daughter-in-law Ruth Marshill,
sons William and John Marshill,
the heir of son Jacob Marshill,
the heir of daughter Margaret Jones,
the heir of daughter Elizabeth Freeman,
daughter Anna Thompson "if she comes to demand it",
Ann Dunn "feather bed and furniture".
His will names his wife Margaret as executrix. The will was witnessed by Richard Thompson, Samuel Freeman, James Murray, Joseph Murray, and J. Hinshaw (daughter Mary's husband Jesse).5
