In 1920 Ernest was living in Webb City, Jasper County, Missouri.^f    Ernest and his mother were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 6-7 1920), 1015 West Daugherty Street, Webb City, Jasper County, Missouri:^e

Ernest and Mary were shown in the 1930 census (Apr 4 1930), 1015 West Daugherty Street, Webb City, Jasper County, Missouri:^b

Mary's obituary appeared in the "Joplin News Herald" on Monday, May 28, 1934, as follows:^g

"Webb City, Mo., May 28." "Mrs. Mary A. Hinshaw, 48 years old, wife of Ernest Hinshaw, an employee of the Southwest Missouri Railroad Company, died at 1:50 o'clock yesterday morning at her home, 1015 West Daugherty street, after a brief illness." ...... "Surviving are her husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Warne of Carterville, and two brothers, Walter Warne and Willett Warne, both of Oklahoma." ...... "Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery."

On Friday, June 8, 1934, The "Joplin News Herald" published the following account of the filing of Mary's will:^h

Hinshaw Will Filed Carthage, Mo. June 8. The estate of Mrs. Mary Aletta Hinshaw of Webb City is left mainly to her husband, Ernest Lacy Hinshaw, according to her will, filed today in probate court.    She left her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. George W. Warne, $1,200 to be divided equally.    Her husband was named executor, to serve without bond.    The will was drawn on July 13, 1925, with Edgar Parker of Joplin and G.E. Hough as witnesses.

He then married Mrs. Aldorena Jessie Bigger, c1936.ⁱ    (Aldorena Jessie Dorn)^j    Aldorena, daughter of Lewis Herman Dorn & Jessie Benton King, was born Jan 4 1892, Missouri.^j,209,c

The following notice appeared in the "Joplin Globe" [Missouri], Friday, May 5, 1936:ⁱ

Couple Obtain License Carthage, Mo., June 4. -- E.L. Hinshaw and Aldorena J. Bigger, both of Webb City, obtained a marriage license from the county recorder today.    Mrs. Bigger received a divorce in circuit court this morning from William S. Biggers.

In 1939 Ernest was living in Arroyo Grande, California.^a

In 1945 Aldorena (and presumably Ernest) was living at 691 Henderson, Santa Luis Obispo, California.^k    Aldorena's Social Security application (form SS-5) showed her employer was "Billies Toy & Baby Shop", 856 Monteray [sic], San Luis Obispo.^k

Ernest Lacy Hinshaw died Oct 2 1965, Santa Barbara County, California.^c,209

In 1975 Aldorena was living in Santa Barbara, California.²⁰⁹
