Ethel's obituary was published as follows:10
Ethel Mae (Lane) Hinshaw, daughter of Mary Aganes (Bohlen) and Andrew Roscoe Lane, was born March 29,1916, in Creston. She passed away at the Clearview Home in Clearfield, Iowa on June 17,2008. She graduated from Creston High School in 1934.
On Feb. 26,1938, she married Loren Franklin Hinshaw in Greenfield. In 1978, they moved to Lenox and to Clearfield in 1998. She was a homemaker, farm wife and member of Lenox Christian Church.
Survivors includeher children, Gary (Cathy) Hinshaw and Faye Hinshaw; 10 grandchildren;17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1999; sons, Norman and Kenneth Hinshaw; brothers, Rex, Orlo, Donald and Junior Lane and sisters, Marie Howie, Irene Reed, Margariet Truman and Pauline Chapman.
