On Mar 22 1901 Ollis D. Hinshaw, age 25, was accepted into the Sons of the American Revolution, as a descendent of James Harris.  He declared he then resided in Woodruff, Illinois, occupied as a teacher.8  

He married Mary Elizabeth "Mamie" Cryer, Jul 17 1912, Walnut Hill, Arkansas.1  Mary, daughter of Robert Barton Cryer & Mary Taylor Hightower9, was born Oct 6 18869 [Oct 6 18851, about 18882, about 18903], Walnut Hill, Lafayette County, Arkansas9.  

Ollis lived in/near Keevil, Arkansas.1  

On Sep 12 1918 Ollis David Hinshaw, age 42, registered for the World War I draft in Monroe County, Arkansas.  He declared he was born Oct 21 1875, and was then residing in Keevil, Monroe County, Arkansas, occupied as a "R.Y. Agent" employed by the "St. Louis South Western" in Monroe County, Arkansas.  He declared his nearest relative was Marry [sic] Elizabeth Hinshaw of Keevil.  He was recorded as medium height, slender, brown eyes, dark hair, and a disability "Rheaut..." [unclear].7
