He married Lou Heyden1,3 [Luna M. Heyden2,9], about 18961,3.  Lou, daughter of Cullen F. + Luna M. Hayden2,9,10, was born Sep - 18742,9,10 [about 18763,4], Michigan2,9,10.  

On Nov 20 1895 in Decatur, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, Walter was a witness to the marriage of a Newell C. Hayden, 28, to a Rena B. Roberts.11  It is possible that Newell C. Hayden might have been Lou's brother.12
