On Sep 12 1918 John Foster Hinchey, age 35, registered for the World War I draft in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He declared he was born October 5 1882, and was then residing at 4657 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, where he was a carpenter employed by Traylor Ship Corporation of Cornwells, Pennsylvania. He declared his nearest relative was his wife, Cora Hinchey, of the same address. He was recorded as short, stout, grey eyes, brown hair.5
John and family were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 10-12 1920), Akron, Summit County, Ohio:2
Hinchey, John F., head-of-household, age 36, born in Kentucky; father born in Italy; mother born in New York; rented home; occupation: carpenter, house.
Hinchey, Cora, wife, age 31, born in Missouri; parents born in Kentucky.
Hinchey, D Corinne, daughter, age 2 years 3 months, born in Missouri; father born in Missouri [sic]; mother born in Kentucky [sic].
Cora died Jul 14 1958, buried Sikeston City Cemetery, Sikeston, Scott County, Missouri.4
John Foster Hinchey died Sep 14 1960, Missouri; buried Sikeston City Cemetery, Sikeston, Scott County, Missouri.4
