Ruth Marie Hinshaw died May 16 2003, St. John's Home, Springfield, Brown County, Minnesota; buried Springfield Cemetery, Springfield, Minnesota.²  

Ruth's obituary was published in "The Journal" (New Ulm, Minnesota) on May 18 2003:²

Ruth M. Schumacher, 77, of Springfield, died Friday, May 16, 2003, at St. John's Home in Springfield.   Funeral service will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at the Springfield Cemetery.   She is survived by her husband Lloyd Schumacher of Springfield; and sisters, Jane Pool of Helena, Mont., and Jenny Peterka of Las Vagas, Nev.   Ruth M. Schumacher was born Aug. 21, 1925, in Des Moines, Iowa, to William and Madeline (McNeil) Hinshaw.
