Born Dec 20 1896, Bingham, Leelanau County, Michigan.4,5,6,7,8  

On Jun 5 1918 William R. Hinshaw, age 27, registered for the World War I draft in Leelanau County, Michigan.  He declared he was born December 20 1896 in Bingham, Michigan (father born in Indiana), and he was then residing in/near Traverse City, Michigan where he was employed by Russell Hinshaw of Traverse City.  He declared his nearest relative was Russell Hinshaw of Traverse City.  He was recorded as medium height, stout, blue eyes, dark hair.7  

He married Edna Florence Bangs, Jun 19 1926, Madison, Greenwood County, Kansas.2,4  Edna, daughter of Guy Bangs & Maud/Maude Brown, was born Apr 15 1902, Alpe, Lyon County, Kansas.2,5,9,10,11  

In 1947 William was living in California.12  

Edna died Oct 13 1982, buried Area RR, Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market St., Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland.5,10  

In 1984 William was living in Buckeystown, Frederick County, Maryland.5  

William Russell Hinshaw, Jr. died Apr 17 1984, Frederick, Fredrick County, Maryland; buried Area RR, Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market St., Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland.5,8
