She married Russel J. Stow1 [Russel Stowe4,5], Oct 27 18641, Paris Township, Kent County, Michigan1.  Russel, son of Zebulon Stow, was born Aug 6 1837, Summit County, Ohio.6  

Children:3

(daughter) Stow; married Scott J. Thompson.
Leon Stow.

Hattie was baptized in 1865 in Cascade, Michigan by Alanson Wilcox.1  

The following biographical sketch appeared in an 1881 book ("Chapman"):6,7

Russell J. STOW, of the firm of STOW & HAIGHT, was born in Summit Co., Ohio, Aug. 6, 1837.  He engaged in farming and the dairy business during his younger days.  He came to Grand Rapids in 1863, and purchased a farm, then removed with his parents to the farm in 1864, and still continued to farm until 1871.  His father was Zebulon STOW, who died very suddenly one morning in September, 1871, of heart disease.  Our subject's grand father, William STOW, was a naval captain during the war of 1812.  Mr. STOW was married Oct. 17, 1864, to Miss Harriet HENSHAW, daughter of Horace HENSHAW, who is a descendant of Captain HENSHAW, of Revolutionary fame.  They have two children-Ella and Leon.

Harriet H. Henshaw died May 31 1918, at her home, 536 Terrace, Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan; age 71y 7m 31d.1,3  

Harriet's obituary was published in the Grand Rapids Herald (Grand Rapids, Michigan) on Saturday, June 1, 1918 (page. 3 column 4):3

CHARTER MEMBER G.R. CHURCH DIES
HARRIETT HENSHAW STORR [STOW], aged 71, died Friday morning at 536 Terrace avenue, S.E.  Funeral services: First Christian church, 2 p.m. Monday.  Burial in Oak Hill, private.  

MRS. HARRIET HENSHAW STOW, widow of RUSSELL J. STOW, died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, MRS. SCOTT J. THOMPSON, 536 Terrace avenue, S.E.  

Mrs. Stow was born Oct. 1, 1846 and was one of the five remaining charter members of the First Christian church of Grand Rapids.  

She is survived by a son, LEON, a daughter, MRS. SCOTT J. THOMPSON and two brothers, HORACE W. and HENRY H. HENSHAW of Chicago.
