She then married Jay Darwin Bacon, Jr., Apr 18 1941, at her parents' home, 2302 Baker Ave., Everett, Snohomish County, Washington.⁹ (Marriage license Apr 18 1941, King County, Washington).⁹ Jay, son of Jay Darwin + Harriet C. Bacon, was born Apr 28 1916, Denver County, Colorado.^3,10,11

Jay died Feb 14 1943^10,13 [Dec 10 1945^3,14,15], Solomon Island^10,13. Jay was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserves^11,13,16 (Merchant Marine),¹⁴ and was killed in action¹⁶ (missing in action).^13,14 Distinguished Flying Cross;¹⁴ monument at Fort William Mckinley, Manila, the Philippines.^14,15

Jay's death was probably a factor in his father's suicide;¹⁷ Jay Darwin Bacon, Sr., on May 29 1948, became the 97th person to commit suicide off the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.^18,19,20

Barbara was shown in the 1944 city directory of living with her parents in Everett, Washington:⁸

She then married Robert McFarlane, Sep 14 1953, Skagit County, Washington.⁹ Robert was born about 1912, Seattle, King County, Washington.⁹

She then married Howard Fieler Sievers, Dec 2 1959, Whitman County, Washington.⁹ Howard, son of - Sievers & - Fieler, was born Feb 6 1909, Everett, Snohomish County, Washington.^3,9,20

Barbara and Howard apparently divorced. Howard remarried to Ruth Ward Phillips, Jun 27 1965;⁹ then to Barbara Edwards Wescott, Sep 20 1969.⁹ Howard died Apr 10 1981, Riverside County, California.^3,20

Barbara Myrth Hinshaw died Jun 7 1982, Belleview, King County, Washington; age 64.^2,3,25,26 Death certificate #015718.²⁵
