The following article was published in the "Great Bend Tribune" (Great Bend, Kansas) on Tuesday, June 4, 1957:¹³

Police Beat A 27-year-old man paid a $20 fine in police court Tuesday for disturbing the peace after his 22-year-old wife was admitted to St. Rose Hospital late Monday night following a family squabble at 2006 Jackson, according to police.   Officers reported they took Mrs. Norma Lee Hinshaw to the hospital for treatment of bruises on her arms, back and hip and picked up Harlan Worth Hinshaw and booked him for disturbing the peace.   Officers said Mrs. Hinshaw was crying and screaming when they arrived at the family residence.  She hasn't notified officers whether or not she will file an assault and battery complaint against her husband.

Norma died May 11 2005^9,12 [May 13 2005¹⁴]; buried Brumfield Cemetery, Seiling, Dewey County, Oklahoma^9,12.  

Harlan Worth Hinshaw died Dec 24 2010, Clinton Veteran's Center, Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma; age 80.^8,9,10  

Harlan's obituary was published in the "News and Eagle" (Enid, Oklahoma) on December 27, 2010:^8,15

ENID -- Service for Harlan Hinshaw, 80, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Restoration Church, Seiling.  Private burial will be in North Persimmon Cemetery, near Sharon, under the direction of Redinger Funeral Home.   He was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Woodward and died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at Clinton Veteran's Center.   He was a retired bricklayer and United States Marine veteran.   Survivors include his children, Carl Hinshaw, Anita Wion and Robbie Howard; two sisters, Wanda Lynes and Carol Scott<; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
