He declared he was born Aug 8 1873 and was then residing in Sharon, Woodward County, Oklahoma where he was a self-employed farmer. He declared his nearest relative was Mrs. Gertie Faith Hinshaw of Sharon. He was recorded as slender, medium height, brown eyes, light brown hair. On the same day sons Ernest and Jesse also registered for the draft.5
