Jan. 26, 1957 ~ April 30, 2008
Jay Alvin Hinshaw, 51, of Vancouver, WA, passed away of conjunctive heart failure. He was born in Vancouver to Mary and Kenneth W. Hinshaw. "Jay had a kind and generous heart, he truly loved his family and was always willing to help others and take those less fortunate in off the street." He was a crafter and an artist in many ways. He loved God's creatures, it was his delight to work around animals. "Whenever you hear a harmonica being played, you can remember Jay, it was an important part of his life." He is survived by his fiance, Tammy Diodati; son, Josh Romine; mother, Mary (Dale) Delashmutt; step-mother, Margaret Hinshaw; brothers, Rick, Scott and Ken Hinshaw and Duane Otterson; grandson, Bryce Romine, aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends. A memorial was held for Jay at the Vancouver Church of Christ.
