Ettie and Clarence lived near Walnut Hill, Louisiana and Caddo Parish, Louisiana.^a

She then married Clayton Ferguson Scott, Dec - 1910.^a,c    Clayton, son of Benjamin Franklin Scott & Caroline Ferguson, was born Dec 13 1890, DeSoto Parish, Louisiana.^c    Clayton was Ettie's former brother-in-law - the younger brother of Clarence Scott.^a

Clayton F. Scott lived in the home of his brother Clarence Scott after his father's second marriage to Mrs. Frances Terry Pobst.    After the death of his brother, Clayton married his sister-in-law, Ettie.    Several years later they were amicably divorced and he married Mary Leonard, daughter of a planter in Caddo Parish, Louisiana.^a    Clayton died Oct 8 1973, Shreveport, Louisiana.^c

She then married Willis Edward Ricketts.^a    Willis, son of Newton Franklin Ricketts & Martha Caroline Hastings, was born Oct 22 1878.^a,209,e

Willis Edward Ricketts was living in Colorado when he somehow found Ettie listed in either a book or newspaper article along with other women seeking husbands.    After a period of correspondence, Willis travelled to Louisisana to meet Ettie, and they were married.^a    He had been previously married Jul 3 1901 to Anna Mae (Gilliand) Ricketts, the widow of his brother James Edgar Ricketts (they had two children).^c

In 1969 Willis was living with his daughter Barbara in Vista, San Diego County, California.^a,209
