Clayton F. Scott lived in the home of his brother Clarence Scott after his father's second marriage to Mrs. Frances Terry Pobst. After the death of his brother, Clayton married his sister-in-law, Ettie. Several years later they were amicably divorced and he married Mary Leonard, daughter of a planter in Caddo Parish, Louisiana.1 Clayton died Oct 8 1973, Shreveport, Louisiana.6

Willis Edward Ricketts was living in Colorado when he somehow found Ettie listed in either a book or newspaper article along with other women seeking husbands. After a period of correspondence, Willis travelled to Louisisana to meet Ettie, and they were married.1 He had been previously married Jul 3 1901 to Anna Mae (Gilliand) Ricketts, the widow of his brother James Edgar Ricketts (they had two children).6
