Danny worked in the tree service for 30 years. An injury led to his retirement from that occupation and, just before his death, he purchased a slide back tow truck and was starting a towing business. He was a partner in a car lot for his last 6 years as well.6
Danny Lee Henshaw died Feb 11 2003, at his home, Seattle, King County, Washington.2,5,6 Danny was diagnosed with liver cancer on Feb 3 2003 and died just days later.6
Danny's obituary was published in the "Seattle Post-Intelligencer" (Seattle, Washington) on Feb 14 2003:2
Danny Lee Henshaw Sr. Danny Lee HENSHAW Sr. Born 6-22-47 in Wenatchee, died 2-11-2003 at his home in Seattle. He is survived by his significant other and best friend Karen Rochester, son Danny Lee Jr., Siblings Judy Varela, Kitty Brown, Rick Anderson, Patty Bussey, Rocky Anderson, John Hedgcoth, Steve Hedgcoth, John Henshaw, Mike Henshaw, and Deanie Fewell. Preceded in death by son Michael and sister Edith Barnett. He loved life and living and spent many years with his love of motorcycling with a Harley. He fulfilled a lifelong dream last summer with his son by attending Sturgis. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of King County. Services will be held Saturday 2-15-2003 at 12:00 noon at Evergreen Funeral Home/Cemetery in Everett, WA. A gathering to celebrate his life will immediately follow in the hospitality room.

I was so happy when Danny found my sister Edith and I. I was hoping to get to know him better. I do know family was very important to him. I did love him very much and will miss him terrible. Love you Dan and rest in peace my dear brother. We will meet again.
