DIED, on the 17th of Fifth month, 1867, Rebecca, wife of Levi A. Stanley, and daughter of Benjamin and Nancy Hinshaw, in the 31st year of her age: a member of South River Monthly Meeting, Iowa. She received the cup of affliction sweetly from her Heavenly Father's hand, saying, "If it be His will to restore me to health, I would serve him more fervently; nevertheless, not my will, O Lord, but Thine be done." And when in answer to her fervent prayers she was granted a foretaste of the promised glory, she said, "It is all through the mercy of my dear Redeemer, and to Him be all the praise." As her ransomed spirit passed into the rest prepared for the redeemed of the Lord, her last words were, "All is perfect peace and happiness and eternal rest."
