On Jun 5 1917 Francis Russel Hinshaw, age 24, registered for the World War I draft in Washington Township, Randolph County, Indiana. He declared his residence as RR 9, Winchester, Indiana. He was recorded as medium height, medium height, light brown hair and light brown eyes.⁶
