William's obituary was published in the "Herald-Progress" (Hanover, Virginia) on Saturday, March 25, 2006:³

William Raleigh Henshaw, 73, of Mechanicsville, passed away Friday, March 17, 2006.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Kuhn Henshaw.  He is survived by a daughter, Marcia Powers and husband, Ronnie; two sons, Mark H. Henshaw and Matthew H. Henshaw and wife, Susan; five grandchildren, Daniel, Lauren and Elizabeth Powers and Kathryn and Kelly Henshaw; two brothers, Edmund James Henshaw III and Thomas West Henshaw.  Mr. Henshaw was an ordained Methodist minister early in life, and a Stephen Minister of Shady Grove United Methodist Church, and a retired school teacher for Hanover County.  He had taught at Pearson's Corner Elementary School, and Chickahominy Middle School.  He had also served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  The family received friends Sunday, March 19, at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd.  Memorial service's were held Tuesday at Shady Grove United Methodist Church, 8029 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shady Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund.
