Arnold B. Hanshaw

OAK HILL - Arnold B. Hanshaw, 79, of Oak Hill died Aug. 2, 1997, in Columbia Raleigh General Hospital after a short illness.  

He was a disabled miner, member of UMW, a Christian and a Navy veteran of World War II.  

Surviving: wife, Helen J. Brown Hanshaw; daughters, Anna R. Painter of Gilboa, Janie Highes of Zela; sons, Roy L. of Eagle Grove, Iowa, Eddie A. of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, Perry H. of Mount Lookout; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.  

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, with the Rev. William E. Johnson officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, is in charge of arrangements.
