Woodrow Wilson Hanshaw
ROSSVILLE - Woodrow Wilson Hanshaw, 85, of Rossville died Feb. 7, 1999, at home.
He was a native of West Virginia, an Army and National Guard veteran of World War II and a Bronze Star recipient. He was owner of Quality Pontiac in West Virginia and owned a fleet of commercial fishing boats in Florida. He was a former member of the Mounted Shrine Patrol and was a Mason. He was a member of the 4th Division of the 22nd Infantry Retirement Association and was a Methodist.
Surviving: wife, Betty Brackett Hanshaw; daughter, Anne Brannon of Ringgold; sons, Woodrow W. Hanshaw of Otwell, Ind., John Gay of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Janet Cole of Melbourne, Fla., Sybill Hawks of Phoenix; brother, Paul Hanshaw of Phoenix; two grandchildren.
Service will be 2:30 p.m. today at Lane Funeral Home, Rossville, with the Rev. Donald Smitherman officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood South Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Chattanooga, 165 Hamm Road, Chattanooga, TN 37405. Information provided by Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston, W.Va.
