NEWTON - Robert E. Cook. 80. of Newton, Roane County, died Thursday in Chillicothe, Ohio. V. A. Hospital. He was a retired oilfield worker and was a World War I veteran. Mr. Cook was a member of United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. Suriving: wife, Emma Hanshaw Cook; daughters, Mrs. Irene Kirkhart of Atwater, Ohio, Mrs. Carol Hartley of Magnolia, Ohio; sons, Harold of Parkersburg, Billy of Spencer; sister, Mrs. Macel Radanoff of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; brother; Burl Cook of Ovapa; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Goodwill Community Church at Newton with the Rev. Howard Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Wallback. Friends may call after noon today at Sinnett Funeral Home, Spencer.
