On May 2 1864, Edward L. Henshaw, age 27, enlisted as a private in Company F, 141st Ohio Infantry Regiment.10 On the same day, Edward's brothers Eli and James also joined the very same Company.10

In the 1890s [date unclear], in Ohio, Edward L. Henshaw applied for a pension as an invalid, veteran of Company F, 141st Ohio Infantry.11 Edward did not show a wife in his pension application.11
Hannah died 1909, buried Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio.6
