Herbert Hinshaw Killed on Train
Herbert Hinshaw of Spokane, 50, brother of "Monty" Hinshaw of Ritzville, was shot and killed while on duty as a brakeman on a Great Northern railroad freight train yesterday afternoon.
Hinshaw was preparing supper when a bullet came through a window of the caboose, striking him in the head. The accident occurred at 4:45 p.m., just east of Adrian. When the freight reach Wilson Creek Hinshaw was dead. No explanation could be given for the tragedy, other than that the bullet was from the rifle of a hunter.
