William and family were shown in the 1881 census, Hessian Line, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia:^b,d

Since William was born in 1839 in Nova Scotia, it is possible that his parents might have been William H. and Margaret Ann Henshaw,^g who were having children about this same time.    This is speculative.
