A dog followed us from near the edge of Rancho Canada del Oro (where we picked up the nice, new trail) all the way to our lunch spot at Bald Peaks. The dog started whimpering, which resulted in several people providing water to the parched pup. Having discovered how soft we all were, he continued to follow us all the way back to the Calero parking lot. Seemed to know his way around, so hopefully he made it back whence he came. Many people suggested that Russ should take him home, but heartless Russ wasn't having it!
