Located just northeast of the Des Plaines river, at the corner of Golf and East River Road, Big Bend lake is an easily accessible lake (the entrance is on East River Road just about 1/4 block south of Golf Road). As of 7/20/96, the lake was well within its boundary again and the area is pretty much back to normal after the flooding.
