Steve owes a writeup!
Mihail woke me up at 7am to say Christina wanted to leave because it was going to drizzle all day. I was not enthusiastic about waking up, much less leaving early, but that ship had sailed. I packed up the interior of the tent before venturing out to discover we were just in the clouds. I figured at that point if we'd just slept another hour, the contents of our tents would be drier but the exterior would be wetter. By the end, it was a net neutral, as the almost negligible cloud/drizzle stopped, but we did get rained on while driving out.
In any case, we broke camp and were out pretty quickly. We'd occasionally see blue sky in the distance where I'd declare victory and then it would disappear. The good news was that we all got to the general Oristimba area early and had no problem getting both lemonade and a shuttle ride. We waited less than ten minutes before we were en route to our car.
An hour later we were at Covale in Gilroy, enjoying pizza and beer. Good times!
Milestones:
Mihail's 30th leaf
Steve's 40th leaf
