Purpose

The Journal of Basketball Studies is a compilation of research on the game of basketball whose primary goal is to provide valuable tools for coaches and scouts to analyze teams and individuals for the purpose of helping their teams win.

The Journal also serves as a tool for educating students in math and science from grade school through college. It is also an experiment in using all of the web's capabilities to demonstrate scientific topics. This will involve some multimedia development that could take some time, but the pop-up help screens and the interactive plots were cited by Gamelan's Java Site as very useful innovations.
