Simeon was the brother of Mary Barker who married Ruth's brother Thomas, and of Nathan Barker who married Ruth's sister Milicent. The three Hinshaw siblings married three Barker siblings. In addition, Ruth's brother Jacob married Elizabeth, then Huldah, Barker (sisters), cousins of Ruth's husband Simeon Barker.3
At Holly Spring MM on 1-18-1862, Simeon and wife Ruth were granted a certificate to Center MM, Ohio.3
